WiSe-Cryst 2026
Dr.-Ing. Genevieve Wilbs
Winter School on Electron Crystallography

The Electron Crystallography School in Jülich follows the long tradition of educational events in the field of electron crystallography in Europe, coordinated by the Special Interest Group for Electron Crystallography (SIG4) of the European Crystallographic Association. This school will continue the traditions of previous schools, featuring foundational lectures, while adding a new focus on hands-on data collection at numerous electron microscopes and introducing data collection protocols in action.
The emphasis on data collection training directly at the instruments defines the explicit location of the school: at ER-C which hosts a variety of TEMs with different features, allowing to showcase nearly every scenario for 3D ED data collection. In addition to the experiments, different software tools and advanced data processing modalities will be presented.
