Bringing Deep Learning Workloads to JSC Supercomputers (training course, online, 4th run)
Dr. Alexandre Strube
(Course no. 8720254 in the training programme 2025 of Forschungszentrum Jülich)
This course will take place as an online event. The link to the streaming platform will be provided to the registrants only. The course will be held in English.
Contents:
Fancy using High Performance Computing (HPC) machines for AI? Fancy learning how to run your code on one of Europe's fastest supercomputers, the JUWELS Booster at Forschungszentrum Jülich?
In this workshop, we will guide you through the first steps of using the supercomputer machines for your own AI application. This workshop should be tailored to your needs - and our team will guide you through questions like:
- How do I get access to the machines?
- How do I use the pre-installed, optimised software?
- How can I run my own code?
- How can I store data so I can access it fast in training?
- How can I parallelise my training and use more than one GPU?
In this workshop, we will try to get your code and your workflow running and make your start on a supercomputer as smooth as possible. After this course, you are not only ready to use Helmholtz AI COmputing REsources (HAICORE) but you have made your first steps into unlocking compute resources up to the largest scales for your AI application with a compute time proposal at the Gauss Supercomputing Center.
This workshop takes place in a small group, so there will be plenty of room for your questions.
