The workshop brings together researchers and practitioners working at the interface of machine learning and Earth system sciences to exchange perspectives and discuss recent advances in large-scale ML approaches for Earth system modelling. Topics will include:

  • Machine learning-based numerical weather prediction
  • Machine learning-based climate models and climate models
  • Machine learning-based Earth system component models
  • Use of Earth system observations for training
  • Evaluation and explainability of the above models and studies on their limits and physicality
  • Datasets for model training, evaluation and benchmarks

Registration and abstract submission will open on 29 April 2026.
