Best PhD Thesis Award of JRI

The Best PhD Thesis Award of the Virtual Joint Research Institute (JRI) on Functional Materials and Electronics is intended to recognize the outstanding achievements of young scientists as well as the scientific progress achieved within the framework of the JRI. This means that a substantial part of their thesis must have been completed at Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) or at Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT). Furthermore, the Prize aims to make a broad scientific public aware of the exceptional achievements of the scientists.

The Best PhD Thesis Award of the JRI is awarded every two years to two young scientists, one from each side (FZJ and SIMIT), on the basis of his or her doctoral theses at JRI and associated scientific achievements within a period of up to two years after submitting their theses to the faculty. The each scientist awarded the prize receives € 500 (pre-tax).
