Dr Stefan Vögele, head of the Socioeconomics Department at Jülich System Analysis (ICE-2), has been appointed Professor of Energy Economics at TU Bergakademie Freiberg. This joint professorship with the Faculty of Business and Economics strengthens the long-standing collaboration between Forschungszentrum Jülich and TUBAF

The appointment marks a new chapter in the exchange between the two institutions – especially at the intersection of socio-economic research, energy scenarios and system analysis. Initial teaching formats are also in planning.

For ICE-2, this professorship opens up new opportunities for collaboration in both research and academia. We warmly congratulate Professor Vögele and look forward to developing innovative topics together at the interface between science and society.
