Interview on WDR’s Aktuelle Stunde: Unlocking flexibility in the energy system
Our institute director Jochen Linßen recently spoke on Aktuelle Stunde about negative electricity prices and the opportunities they create for a more flexible energy system.

In the interview, he highlighted the considerable potential for shifting electricity consumption to periods of high renewable generation — for example through controllable demand, smart energy management and time-dependent electricity tariffs.
He also emphasised that stable regulatory frameworks and long-term planning perspectives are important to support investment and accelerate the transformation of the energy system.
