Verena Theußl is a research associate in the research group "Electrode kinetics and electrolytes" am IET-4.

Verena Theußl is a research associate at the Institute of Energy Technologies - Electrochemical Process Engineering (IET-4). Her research in the Physic-Chemical Laboratory (PCL) focuses on the fundamental investigation of energy materials for fuel cells and batteries, using electrochemical and spectroscopic methods, in combination with thermal analysis. Before joining IET-4 in 2024, she was a member of staff at the Institute of Energy Technologies - Fundamental Electrochemistry (IET-1) at Forschungszentrum Jülich since 2020. During her PhD studies, she investigated degradation mechanisms of gas diffusion electrodes for CO₂-electrolysis.
