New Methods of Process Synthesis

Team Lead

About

Our team focuses on process assessment along the chemical hydrogen storage value chain. The development of sustainable and load-flexible processes in these value chains requires an early identification of potential tradeoffs between techno-economic and environmental aspects. Therefore, we incorporate assessment methods directly into process and plant design procedure. Furthermore, we evaluate the properties and interactions of chemical hydrogen carriers in the value chain on a system perspective.

Research Topics

  • Integration of techno-economic and environmental assessment methods into process and plant design
  • Development of process alternatives for load-flexible operation
  • Multi-objective process/plant-oriented energy system optimization according to environmental and economic key parameters
  • Supply chain optimization and site analysis
