StroemungsRaum - Novel Exascale-Architectures with Heterogeneous Hardware Components for Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulations

The SDL and the Division Mathematics and Education join forces together with the external partners TU Dortmund University, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, IANUS Simulation GmbH, University of Cologne, and Technische Universität Freiberg to advance CFD applications towards Exascale computing. JSC's focus lies on the development of novel parallel-in-time methodologies to accelerate CFD applications.

interTwin

JSC participated in the new European project interTwin, which aimed at co-designing and implementing the prototype of an interdisciplinary Digital Twin Engine (DTE).

CoE RAISE - European Center of Excellence in Exascale Computing "Research on AI- and Simulation-Based Engineering at Exascale"

JSC coordinated the European Center of Excellence in Exascale Computing RAISE, which aimed at developing AI technologies along use-cases towards Exascale.

AM-SIT - Data-Driven Analysis of Medical and Simulation Data for Improved Patient Treatment in Rhinology

AM-SIT was a collaborative work between the SDL Fluids & Solids Engineering, the Cross-Sectional Team Deep Learning, and clinical centers sharing medical data and expertise. In this project, ML algorithms were developed towards automatic pathology detection and classification in rhinology.

Rhinodiagnost - Morphological and Functional Precision Diagnostics of the Nose

The SDL is partner in the international IraSME project “Rhinodiagnost” in which the researchers cooperate with the Institute of Aerodynamics and Chair of Fluid Mechanics (RWTH Aachen University), SUTTER Medizintechnik (medical device company), and Angewandte Informationstechnik Forschungsgesellschaft (AIT) to enhance medical treatment in the field of ENT.

MCFD-CMP - Comparison of Meshing and CFD Methods for Accurate Flow Simulations on HPC Systems

Together with partners from the RIKEN R-CCS in Japan, the SDL Fluids & Solids Engineering performed research on meshing methods for CFD applications. The work was performed within the frame of the Joint Laboratory for Extreme Scale Computing (JLESC).

AHS-SRN - Architecture and Hyperparameter Search for Super-Resolution Networks Operating on Medical Images

Together with partners from the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), the SDL Fluids & Solids Engineering performs research on Super-Resolution Networks for medical applications. The work is performed within the frame of the Joint Laboratory for Extreme Scale Computing (JLESC).

DL-Aero - Prediction of Acoustic Fields Using a Lattice-Boltzmann Method and Deep Learning
