Best Poster Award for Fritz Röben at the 661. Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Seminar on Nonlinear Dynamics, Optimization, and Control of Distributed Energy Systems

We are happy to announce that Fritz Röben’s poster won the “Best Poster Prize” awarded at the 661. Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Seminar (WEH) on nonlinear dynamics, optimization, and control of distributed energy systems. The title of the poster is:

“Dynamic optimization of energy-intensive industry processes to provide grid services”

The 661. WEH seminar provided a great platform for young scientists to meet and share their methods, tools and data for the energy system of tomorrow. Researchers from academia and industry gathered from the 28th to 31st of January 2018 at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef, Germany and discussed the key topics:

    1. Modelling and analysis of complex energy network dynamics
    2. Challenges in the design and operation of future energy systems.

The IEK-10 took part in the seminar and presented two posters by Uwe Bau and Fritz Röben. There were many interesting talks, excellent discussions, and opportunities to meet and connect with other researchers over the three days.
