Advancing Sustainable Freight Transport – Together Across Borders

Last week Dr. Petra Zapp and Dr. Christina Wulf from der Jülicher Systems Analysis (ICE-2) participated in the third and final workshop of the UK Networking Grant Adoption of Fuel Cells and Batteries in Heavy-duty Freight Transport held at Brunel University London.
The event brought together an interdisciplinary and international group of experts from academia, politics, and industry. Discussions focused on the potential of fuel cells and battery technologies for the decarbonisation of heavy-duty freight transport.
One key element was the presentation of a qualitative interview study with stakeholders, which will be analysed using AI-supported methods and included in an upcoming joint publication. The aim is to provide evidence-based insights for policymakers and practitioners in the transport sector.
