3rd Annual Meeting of the Jülich Neuromorphic Computing Community at ICA

Yesterday, we had a great 3rd annual meeting of the Jülich Neuromorphic Computing community. Being the 3rd gathering, we can surely count this as a tradition by now. Around 75 scientists from all participating institutes engaged in a day full of fruitful discussions and exchange on our current and future work as well as new or renewed plans to strengthen an intensive exchange.

Common throughout the day was the perception that over the last years, the different disciplines involved in Neuromorphic Computing in Jülich – from biological neuroscience over algorithm developments to research on hard- and software systems – grew closer together. Important for such an interdisciplinary endeavor to make a significant contribution to addressing the challenges current and future computing tasks pose on us.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a productive and inspiring event.
We are looking forward to the next steps in deepening our collaboration.
