JuRSE Code of the Month - October 2024

Each month we highlight a code from Forschungszentrum Jülich and this month's code is developed at the Institute of Bio and Geoscience, Biotechnology (IBG-1).

CADET
CADET is a fast and accurate solver for a comprehensive model family of biotechnological processes. Applications include chromatography, filtration, crystallization, and fermentation. The open source software implements state-of-the-art mathematical algorithms and scientific computing techniques. It has recently been featured in the innovation radar of the European Comission.

JuRSE selected highlights
Mature code that is actively being developed, with a Contributor License Agreement (CLA) integrated into their CI workflow. They offer support and tests for multiple operating systems. Dynamic user engagement is facilitated through a forum, newsletters, tutorials, workshops, a demo website, and they provide a suite of software for performing simulations.
