We are a multidisciplinary team from across FZJ, bringing together our skills, knowledge and passion to support Research Software Engineering and Research Software Engineers from all disciplines and all career levels.

Community Management

Claire is the Community Manager for Research Software Engineering and is working to create a community for everyone whose role involves Research Software Engineering at FZJ. She also works with the Helmholtz Platform for Research Software Engineering to deliver an online RSE themed seminar series, open to all to attend. (HiRSE_PS).

RSE Support

Dirk's expertise lies with scaling HPC codes and analysing their performance, with a focus on established codes and programming approaches. He combines this with modern RSE techniques, extending existing projects thus helping to maintain those.

RSE Support

Jakob works as a Research Software Engineer focussing on the development and usage of  Continuous Integration workflows. He furthermore develops tools that support the development of high quality research software following good practices.

RSE Support and Training

Lupe's background is in large astrophysics simulation codes, including development and bringing insight to users of diverse academic contexts. She has experience with RSE methods that produce more sustainable software for advancing research and is eager to collaborate with others in the FZJ community. 

RSE advocacy

Robert leads the Division “Mathematics and Education” at JSC and is one of JSC's deputy directors. He's passionate about writing research software and advocates the use of modern RSE techniques to students, researchers, decision makers and funders. As part of JuRSE, he campaigns across campus for the adoption of good research software skills and outputs.
