Mamaka Narava

The deRSE conference in Karlsruhe was a well-organized and insightful event that provided a great platform to connect with the Research Software Engineering (RSE) community. The diverse range of topics, from software sustainability to FAIR principles, made the talks highly valuable.

The networking opportunities were excellent, especially during the well-organized conference dinner, which allowed for meaningful discussions with fellow attendees. The volunteers were incredibly friendly and played a crucial role in ensuring the event ran smoothly. While the talks were helpful, having access to the slides beforehand would have been beneficial for deciding which sessions to attend. Additionally, more interactive sessions, such as live coding or panel discussions, could enhance engagement. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I truly appreciate the effort put into organizing such a successful event. Looking forward to future editions!
