The course

In this course we will cover:

• The basic operating principle of Apptainer
• How to install Apptainer on your local PC
• How to use it to create simple and more complex images/workflows with definition files
• How to use Apptainer on an HPC interactively or in batch mode with GPUs and MPI parallelization
• How to execute HPC Apptainer on HPC

By the end of the course participants will be able to install and run simple workflows with Apptainer on their local PC and HPC

Prerequisites

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix terminals (Bash) is an advantage.
• A computer running Linux, ideally with Apptainer already preinstalled (training will also cover how to do this)
