Motile Active Matter

International Conference, Organized by the DFG Priority Programme SPP 1726: Microswimmers – From Single Particle Motion to Collective Behaviour


The International Conference ‘Active Motile Matter’ originally scheduled for March 30-April 2, has been cancelled by the Forschungszentrum Jülich & Forschungszentrum Caesar due to global concerns regarding the coronavirus outbreak. In the interests of the health and safety of participants, employees, as well as public welfare, it is now impossible for us to hold the event.

The process of reimbursing the Conference fees is already underway. Please be aware that we are unable to reimburse you for travel costs, hotel costs and/or other expenses (e.g. visa costs). Deutsche Bahn may reimburse costs for certain train tickets cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak: see here for more information (in German).

The International Conference "Active Motile Matter” is POSTPONED UNTIL fall 2020, Okt. 26-29. We would like to invite you to register for this event and submit an abstract in due course, as soon as the new website is ready.

Scientific Program

The scientific program will consist of invited talks, contributed talks, and poster sessions.

Start of the scientific programme: October 26, 2020, 9 am (see the timetable below, which is coming soon)
End of the scientific programme: October 29, 2020, 1 pm

Onsite registration: October 26, 2020, from 8:00 am at the conference site.
