Who is the speaker?

Thorsten vom Stein studied Chemistry at RWTH Aachen and did his PhD there as well. He focused on the topic of “Catalytic Multistep Hydrogenation and Hydrogenolysis Reactions for the Utilization of Renewable Carbon Resources”. After his PhD he did a Postdoc at University and Toronto and decided to return to Germany in 2015. Since then he’s working for Merck Group following a management career in semiconductor materials. He is a passionate blend of technical innovator and strong leadership in dynamic market environments. Over 10 years of R&D and Operations experience in sustainable process and material design for the electronics and life science industry. Extensive agile transformation leadership experience working in EU, US, Canada and Asia.
