About Us

Forschungszentrum Jülich’s Career Center & Postdoc Office offers early-career scientists and their supervisors comprehensive support in all career-related issues. It is therefore the central contact point for Jülich’s postdocs and provides information on existing services for postdocs. We also conduct various measures for career development, advice, orientation, and networking for postdocs and doctoral researchers – particularly those in the final year of their

we also offer support in implementing the Guidelines for Supervising and Supporting Postdocs of Forschungszentrum Jülich, which aim to increase the transparency of any conditions and qualifications needed for your own scientific profile as well as active career planning.

Furthermore, the alumni management of the Forschungszentrum Jülich is done by the career center. Everyone who was part of the community of the research center is considered an alumni. This includes employees who worked in research, administration, or technical staff, guest researchers, or someone who wrote their bachelor or master thesis at the research center. The alumni management includes the JuLumni network with access to the internal newsletter, and the option to get access to the campus. JuLumni is open to all alumni, as well as active employees. The next steps planned for the alumni are specific events, and a dedicated alumni newsletter.
