"My name is Astrid Schmitz. After studying business administration, I gained 20 years of professional experience in various positions and in different areas of research management. For many years, I headed the research funding department at RWTH Aachen University, supported scientists in the acquisition of funding and accompanied the application process for major strategic projects. In the context of the Excellence Strategy, I was also able to gain several years of experience as head of the Aachen office of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA) in the strategy department at RWTH Aachen University. As Key Account Manager for non-university research institutions, I supported the development of joint strategies on topics such as appointments, personnel development, promotion of young researchers, transfer and public relations.
With Sz-Coaching, I would like to pass on my own expertise and my many years of experience to you. I would be happy to advise you on issues relating to research funding, develop third-party funding strategies with you or support you with your research proposal. I also offer various workshops and courses in the areas of research and third-party funding management as well as strategy development and implementation."
