Annual Conference: The Responsibility of Science for Shaping the Future

This year's VDW annual conference took place on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 April. In times of profound societal changes, science is requested to find the best solutions for the major challenges. Consequences of climate change and digitalization, pandemics and armed conflicts cause social disruptions and are prominent problem areas that science has to deal with in a critical, interdisciplinary and solution-oriented way. This year's annual conference of the VDW therefore took place under the motto "The responsibility of science for shaping the future" at the State Representation of Lower Saxony in Berlin (and via Zoom).
