For the twentieth time, RWTH invites you to the RWTH Science Night “5 to 12”. Presenting science in an unusual form at an unusual time once a year as Friday evening entertainment was the idea when the doors of the Kármán Auditorium were opened for five events before midnight in 2003.

8th November 2024 05:00 PM
End
8th November 2024 09:00 PM
Location
RWTH Hörsaalzentrum C.A.R.L. und neun weitere Veranstaltungsorte

Since then, the RWTH Science Night has become one of the biggest events in Aachen and the region, attracting several thousand visitors of all ages every year. Last year, around 5,000 people took advantage of the unique offer, and previously 8,000.

This year's anniversary offers more than 80 individual events at ten locations. In addition to exciting lectures that get to the heart of science, the numerous exhibits - which are usually not only marveled at by the youngest visitors, but also encourage everyone to try them out and do them themselves - always lead to intensive discussions with scientists who are guaranteed not to find any question too stupid. On the contrary.

Special features in the anniversary year are “Children's University meets Science Night” - starting at 6 pm in the Audimax, and from 7 pm a special highlight awaits the guests of the 20th RWTH Science Night at the “Clash of the Titans - Science Slam of the Professors”: The “Titans” include Professor Christina Büsing and Professors Jan Borchers, Robert Harlander, Kai-Uwe Schröder and Daniel Wentzel. This very special science slam will be hosted by Terra X presenter, science slammer and RWTH alumna Thora Schubert.

The Bioeconomy Science Center and the coordination office BioökonomieREVIER will also be there - come along!
