JuRSE Code of the Month - April 2025
Each month we highlight a code from Forschungszentrum Jülich and this month's code is developed at the Institute of Neurosciences and Medicine, Structural and Functional Organisation of the Brain (INM-1).

CellDetection
An open-source Python package, offering advanced AI methods for the identification and segmentation of biomedical objects, such as cells, in image data. Includes trained models that work out-of-the-box for a wide range of use cases.

JuRSE selected highlights
CellDetection has an eye catching README, nicely organized, providing instructions for various installation methods, demos, and package documentation. The tool features a pretrained model, with reference to the data used for training and it offers ways to interact with popular platforms, including Hugging Face and Napari. They received the "Winner Finalist Award" in a NeurIPS competition on ML in biomedical imaging.
