JuRSE Code of the Month - June 2025
Each month we highlight a code from Forschungszentrum Jülich and this month's code is co-developed at the Institute of Bio and Geosciences, Agrosphere (IBG-3) and at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC).

SERGHEI
The Simulation EnviRonment for Geomorphology, Hydrodynamics and Ecohydrology in Integrated form (SERGHEI) is a multi-dimensional, multi-domain, and multi-physics model framework for environmental and landscape simulation, intended to simulate water flow and transport across landscape scales.

JuRSE selected highlights
SERGHEI is a modular code designed with performance-portability in mind, enabling it to run on various architectures with ease. It has been ported and scaled on Nvidia, AMD, and Intel-based GPU exascale systems. The project's repository is well-organized, using git submodules and GitLab subgroups to manage dependencies and related repositories, and employs extensive CI pipelines to support its active development.
