Prof. Dr. Stefan van Waasen Leads Lecture Course and is Awarded the title of Distinguished Professor of the Agricultural University of Georgia

From May 6th to May 10th 2024, Prof. Dr. Stefan van Waasen (head of ZEA-2 and professor at University of Duisburg-Essen) held for the fourth time an on-site lecture course, starting in 2017 in the frame of the Georgian-German Science Bridge (GGSB) , on "Measurement and Sensor Systems" for the students of the Electrical and Computer engineering program of the Agricultural and Free University of Georigia in Tbilisi. This activity will be now expanded by a one week lecture of Dr. Harald Glückler and Dr. Eberhard Rosenthal (both ZEA-1) on „Modern measurement methods in engineering“ (from June 3-7 2024).

At the invitation of Prof. Stefan van Waasen, more than 10 students in the last years of the bachelor's program completed a one-month internship, and 3 students of the master's program worked for 6 months to prepare their master's thesis at the Central Institute of Engineering, Electronics and Analytics - Electronic Systems (ZEA-2) of the Jülich Research Center (FZJ). Currently, the doctoral student of the Agricultural University of Georgia is working for 3 years at ZEA-2 to prepare his doctoral thesis.

Prof. Dr. Stefan van Waasen was awarded on May 10th the title of Distinguished Professor of the Agricultural University of Georgia.
