Bernstein Day 2014

Events organized by the Bernstein Network on the occasion of Julius Bernstein's 175th birthday

On December 18, 2014, Julius Bernstein would have celebrated his 175th birthday. In honor of Julius Bernstein, the namesake of our research network, we celebrate this year's Bernstein Day on December 18, 2014. Bernstein members organize a number of activities at various locations distributed all over Germany. These range from lectures and film screenings to workshops.

As the Bernstein Facility for Simulation and Database Technology, the Simulation Lab Neuroscience at the Jülich Supercomputing Centre contributes its expertise in simulation and database technology to the Bernstein Network. From August 2015, Jülich will also host the Bernstein Coordination Site (BCOS).
