Farming a Sustainable Bioeconomy - Presentation of the BioökonomieREVIER initiative
"Farming a Sustainable Bioeconomy" in the center of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 2025

At the start of the Green Week in Berlin, the GFFA, organized by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), is all about the bioeconomy.
These four central topics are up for discussion:
- Sustainable production of biomass - resolving conflicting objectives
- Using biomass sustainably - securing the world's food supply
- Strengthening innovation - promoting communication
- Shaping fair framework conditions - making the most of transition
With the Innovation Forum, the BMEL is presenting an interdisciplinary exhibition format that showcases pioneering projects, practical solutions and technological innovations.

BioökonomieREVIER is very much looking forward to being one of the 25 exhibitors to show how we are developing our home region, the Rhenish mining district, as a bioeconomy. The aim is to become a model region for the bioeconomy - with practical solutions and innovative technologies based on the strengths of our region. In addition to a very strong agricultural and food industry, these include the chemical, biotechnology, paper, textile and plastics industries as well as waste management.
