The International Symposium of the Bioeconomy Science Center is a platform for inter- and transdisciplinary exchange for a sustainable bioeconomy.

At this year`s symposium, the connections and links between bioeconomy, sustainability and circularity in the context of global change and climate change will be discussed. The focus of the first day will be on the connection between circular economy and sustainable management and the role and task of the bioeconomy in this, as well as on ensuring a sustainable supply and use of resources under the conditions of a changing planet. On the second day, the role of innovation, advanced product design, artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalization as drivers of sustainable technologies and processes will be highlighted. Two lecture sessions are planned for each day. The first day will conclude with an evening lecture and a panel discussion, followed by a networking dinner. Poster presentations on both days will round off the program.
