BrainergyLab
A field pilot plant, the "Brainergy Field Lab," is being built at the Brainergy Park in Jülich. On these test areas, companies can use innovative research facilities to develop new technologies and applications, such as autonomous robots that remove weeds or drones that monitor the condition of entire wheat fields.
Digitization is playing an increasingly important role in agriculture. Today, agricultural machinery already uses technologies that enable high-precision sowing and fertilization. The development of innovative agricultural systems offers numerous opportunities for efficient and sustainable agriculture. To test such new systems, trial areas with the appropriate infrastructure are needed.
The BFL is such an infrastructure. Here, innovative farmers can work together with experts from business and science on new ideas. A modern 5G infrastructure exists for the large volumes of data generated in the process.
