DAAD-BARI

26 March 2021

BARI stands for the Baltic Science Network Mobility Programme for Research Internships and offers doctoral students the opportunity to recruit master’s or bachelor’s students for a research internship. Similar to the RISE Germany programme, team work on a research project strengthens personal ties between the various nationalities and fortifies an interest in research and scientific work.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is responsible for the mobility programme. Students receive a scholarship for the duration of their internships (funded by the various organizations in the Baltic region).

Details:

Research topics: Life sciences, photon & neutron science, and welfare state

Students’ home countries: Belarus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Russia

Funding: The scholarship comprises a stipend of € 800 per month as well as a travel subsidy of € 300.

Length of research stay: Between 2 and 12 weeks.
Both the intern and their host are free to choose the time frame for the internship. The internship should be completed before 31 July 2021 but under certain circumstances, the internship period may be extended beyond the present BARI programme duration, in accordance with the terms and regulations of each funding institution.

1–16 March, April, and May 2021: Doctoral students upload their internship offers to the BARI database.

1–16 March, April, and May 2021: The database is opened for interested BSc and MSc students and they may apply for the internships online.

From 22 March, April, and May 2021: The results of the selection procedure are announced.
