JCNS Workshop 2014

Trends and Perspectives in Neutron Scattering

From spallation to continuous neutron sources: a positive feedback on neutron instrumentation

20-23 October 2014, Tutzing, Germany

Excursion and Dinner

The afternoon and evening of October 22, 2014 are reserved for an excursion and subsequently the workshop dinner.

Around 1910 famous painters like Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc, Alexej Jawlensky and Gabriele Münter visited and settled  in the foothills of the Alps south of Munich and, inspired by the beautiful landscape, created numerous paintings forming the roots of modern art at least in Germany. A very attractive collection of these paintings is hosted in the Franz Marc Museum in the small village of Kochel located very close to the mountains at the lake “Kochelsee”.

For the excursion we will take a bus from Tutzing to make a ride to the village of Kochel and visit the Franz Marc Museum.

Dinner is served in the restaurant “Grauer Bär” which is in walking distance to the museum and directly located at the lake.
