BioökonomieREVIER: Talk for Sustainable Food and Agriculture by FAO

"Bioeconomy innovation regions - from global goals to regional transformation"

Bioökonomie Impulsvortrag für nachhaltige Ernährung und Landwirtschaft der Welternährungsorganisation FAO

Titel: Bioeconomy Innovation Regions – From Global Targets to Regional Transformation

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schurr, Director IBG-2: Plant Sciences at Forschungszentrum Jülich

What role do bioeconomy model regions play in transforming global sustainability goals into regional action? Using the example of BioökonomieREVIER, Ulrich Schurr shows how cooperation between stakeholders can contribute to bioeconomic development and the innovation ecosystem and drive forward the transformation in the Rhenish Revier.

The presentation highlights the importance of regional strategies, technological advances and cross-sector collaboration in promoting sustainable growth - and positions the bioeconomy as an important driver of economic and environmental change.

The weekly impulse talks are organized by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and supported by the Thai National Center for Genetic Engineering and Technology (BIOTEC).
