Transcriptomics/ Genomics

The group has expertise in plant genome and transcriptome profiling and has one Illumina MiSeq at IBG-2 and access to a NextSeq 500 but for genomics data mostly relies on Oxford nanopore sequencing.

As such the group was also the first to release a large single molecule sequencing dataset for a higher plant Solanum Pennellii. This allows long and very long read length for genome assemblies.
