The Agrosphere has developed its own PhD program to provide targeted support for PhD students and to offer them constant opportunities for high-level scientific feedback on their independent work. This includes regular PhD student seminars and internal presentations to the institute's committee of leading scientists (IKO). Furthermore, PhD students write status PhD reports and present their results together with their supervisor to the institute's head twice a year. In addition to the training offered by the Forschungszentrum, the Institute offers mandatory courses on the use of statistical methods and scientific writing for all PhD students. In addition, PhD students can complete a three-month stay abroad towards the end of their doctorate.
