Farewell colloquium Harry Vereecken

Dear colleagues of Harry Vereecken,

In August this year, Prof. Dr Harry Vereecken will begin his well-deserved retirement. He has made an outstanding contribution to research in the field of terrestrial systems. His vision and extraordinary commitment, both within and outside the Forschungszentrum, have shaped not only research, but also terrestrial long-term observation platforms at national and international level.

To honour his impressive work, we cordially invite all those who have accompanied him on his journey to attend his farewell colloquium on 5 September 2025 to bid Harry a personal goodbye. On this special day, many of those who have accompanied him throughout his career will be present to reflect on formative moments and celebrate his extraordinary contribution to science.

So mark your calendars for September 5th from 1 pm. – 7.30 pm.
