Food for ten billion people
Jülich, 27.05.2021 - On Thursday, April 29, Dr. Thomas Pütz explained the importance of soil for world nutrition in the "Wissenschaft online" virtual seminar of the Forschungszentrum Jülich.
The lecture by Dr. Thomas Pütz focused on agriculture. In particular, it was shown how it has so far been possible to meet the steadily increasing food requirements of a growing world population. The success of the "Green Revolution" was also explained. Pütz places an emphasis on the soil, which, as an important factor in all agricultural activities, is used most intensively in terms of production.
