Jülich, 15 September 2020 – Because of the changes in the climate, very hot and dry summer months will become increasingly frequent in future. Exactly how nature and harvests in Europe will react to the extremely dry weather conditions has been investigated in a series of coordinated studies by the ICOS network, which the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (IBG) at Jülich has contributed to. The results for 2018 have now been published in a special issue of the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B.
