DryHy - Wasserbewusste Erzeugung von Wasserstoff und e-Fuels in trockenen Regionen
Description
The aim of the DryHy project is to produce hydrogen and synthesis gases using high-temperature electrolysis (SOEC). This technology utilises renewable energies such as solar energy for the electrolysis process and thus enables efficient production in dry, sunny regions. The necessary raw materials, carbon dioxide and water, are extracted directly from the air using a Direct Air Capture (DAC) system, which helps to conserve water resources. In addition, the potential of methanol synthesis is being investigated in order to produce e-fuels that can be used locally as well as transported nationwide.
