Juelich Systems Analysis (ICE-2)

Software is the cornerstone for the techno-economic system analyses performed in ICE-2. In order to follow the general principle of transparency with the energy system modeling and to give everybody the possibility to gain own insights in the context of a techno-economic system analysis, some tools and methods of ICE-2 are available as open source software. On the following pages the used tools can be viewed.

FINE

The FINE python package provides a framework for modeling, optimizing and assessing energy systems with multiple regions, commodities and time steps.

GLAES

GLAES is a framework for land use analysis and renewable energy potential assessment.

tsam

tsam is a python package which uses various machine learning algorithms to aggregate typical periods.
