Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Flagship of the European Commission to create an innovative, ICT-based scientific research infrastructure for brain research, cognitive neuroscience and neuro-inspired computing. The project will run for ten years from 2013 to 2023 and involves scientists from 118 institutions and 19 countries. INM-1 is leading subproject 2, Human Brain Organization and Prof. Dr. Katrin Amunts is the scientific research director of the HBP.
As part of the Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics and Learning Laboratory HIBALL, the BigBrain Project will be further advanced with the partners of The Neuro at McGill Unisversity in Montreal.
Cooperation with Prof. Yosef Grodzinsky of the Neurolinguistics Lab at the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences on the functional neuroanatomy of language and formal logic in the healthy and pathological brain.
