Outstanding Research with Neutrons: Awards for Young Researchers at the DN2024 in Aachen

Around 200 researchers attended the German Conference on Neutron Scattering 2024 (DN2024) in Aachen from 16-18 September 2024, organized by the Komitee Forschung mit Neutronen (KFN), Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University. The focus was on the use of neutrons for a wide range of issues, from energy materials and the effect of medicines to the origin of the universe.

Trends and Perspectives in Neutron Scattering: Functional Interfaces

The JCNS Workshop 2024 will be held in Tutzing, Germany on 8th - 11th October 2024 and will bring together experts in neutron scattering and other scattering techniques to discuss present status, ongoing developments as well as future perspectives in the field of functional interfaces. Interfaces play an important role in a variety of applications, both in soft matter, quantum materials as well as in the food industry and energy storage devices. In particular, functional interfaces are a cross-cutting area of research with neutrons and other scattering techniques in science and industry.
