About us

Our Profile

The Human Resources division is responsible for recruiting qualified and motivated employees for Forschungszentrum Jülich and presenting it as an attractive employer and vocational training company both nationally and internationally at events, trade fairs, and on the Internet. In addition, we provide support for all employees in contract matters, conduct job evaluations and support the many foreign guests of our internationally oriented company. Our tasks also include payroll accounting and the management of the diverse travel activities of a globally cooperating research company.

We support the vocational training of about 350 young people and coordinate internships for more than 300 pupils and students per year. In our business unit, we develop concepts for personnel development and ensure their practical implementation. The training programs we create and for which we are responsible in practice are designed to prepare our employees for their tasks in the best possible way. Furthermore, we have specialists who are completely dedicated to the health of the employees of the Forschungszentrum. Finally, our range of tasks includes the management of human resources as a service provider for the Executive Board as well as the pursuit of sustainable human resources planning.

Our Understanding of Quality

We work together with our clients in a partnership and solution-oriented manner. In the process of finding solutions, we harmonize the legal framework with customer needs in the best possible way. In doing so, we work together across all disciplines. If one of our customers' wishes cannot be realized, we explain the reasons for this, point out possible alternative solutions and explain the anticipated effects of all options.

Aware that we make mistakes in our day-to-day work, we want to analyze them openly and systematically in order to learn from them. Based on corresponding descriptions, we are committed to continuously improving our processes and services. To this end, we regularly respond to feedback and requirements from customers and experts, including external perspectives. In implementing our common understanding of quality, our executives are particularly important role models.
