Change of perspective
The change of perspective programme offers our employees the opportunity to get to know Forschungszentrum Jülich from a different point of view and aims to improve cooperation between science and infrastructure. The extent of the programme can be individually determined in consultation with the host organizational unit and depending on the objective. From one or more individual meetings offering insights into different fields of work to regular or occasional participation in team meetings or the development of regular exchange formats – anything is conceivable. Further information on the change of perspective programme can be found on the intranet .
Annual personnel talk
The annual personnel talk is the Jülich form of a structured employee appraisal. Removed from any specific issues concerning day-to-day work, senior employees and the members of their team are able to exchange views in a confidential discussion on how they have been working together as well as the current and future work situation. This exchange serves to improve collaboration and create an atmosphere of understanding and respect among colleagues. Further information on annual personnel talks can be found on the intranet.
Leadership development
Human Resource Development and Recruiting offers an extensive range of professional development options for senior employees to support them in their roles and promote collaboration in their team. The development options and training courses are based on Forschungszentrum Jülich’s leadership competency model. The model’s nine competencies describe a senior employee’s duties as well as their attitudes and values, which determine how they carry out their managerial responsibilities. More information on the various development opportunities and training courses for senior employees is available on the intranet.
