KeyLab conference “Recent computational and experimental advances in molecular medicine”

27-29 June 2018 - The KeyLab conference session “Recent computational and experimental advances in molecular medicine” was organized on 27-29 June 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).

The purpose of this workshop hast been to facilitate the exchange of recent achievements in the field, to promote active collaborations and to expose young researchers in Vietnam to cutting-edge, molecular-level biomedical research.

The KeyLab parallel session has been part of the 7th International Conference on the Development of Biomedical Engineering in Vietnam (THEME: Translational Health Science and Technology for Developing Countries), which has been held every two years for the last dozen years in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (for a summary of past conferences, see here). The Chair of the conference was Professor Vo Van Toi, Ph.D., Biomedical Engineering Department, International University, Vietnam National Universities of Ho Chi Minh City.

During the conference opening ceremony, the Keynote speaker, Prof. Ruth Nussinov (National Cancer Institute, Frederick, MD, USA), has been awarded the KeyLab Prize 2018 for her outstanding achievements in the field of biomolecular simulation. This is the second Prize given by the KeyLab, the first was given to Prof. Michele Parrinello in 2017.
