In particular, EPPN2020 aims to strengthen the expert community along the entire phenotyping pipeline, including sensing and imaging techniques, data analysis related to environmental conditions, data organization and storage, data evaluation in a biological context, and meta-analyses of different organs at different levels of plant organization. Close links between EPPN2020, the ESFRI project EMPHASIS and national European platforms, such as German Plant Phenotyping Network, DPPN, are an important step in the long-term development of the plant phenotyping community.
