Humboldt Prize to Prof. Silvia De Rubeis 

March 24, 2023 - The President of the Humboldt Society, Prof. Robert Schlögl,  gives Prof. Silvia De Rubeis the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.  This prestigious award supports renowned academics from abroad in recognition of their outstanding research achievements.

Silvia De Rubeis is Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. She is well known for her experimental research on autism spectrum disorder. Dr. De Rubeis will work with INM-9 researchers and colleagues at Forschungszentrum Jülich, RWTH Aachen University, and other German institutions. The team is combining experiments and computations to study how genetic variation in autism affect synaptic transmission in humans and in mouse models.
