Open day 2025 at INM-9

September 7, 2025 - INM-9 contributed to the very successfull Open Day (Tag der Neugier) 2025 event at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where more than 22,000 visitors explored the campus.

Most of the INM-9 members were involved in activities inside and outside the building during the entire day.

INM-9 activities included:

• A puzzle computer game about protein folding
• Printouts of biomolecule and cell structures that kids can color in, as well as building 3D structures of viruses with paper and tape.
• A computer game in which visitors can give instructions to the computer to use AI to generate images that mix proteins and animals.
• A software in which visitors can enter their name (or a short sentence) and the letters are translated into proteins!
