Scope

During the past years the DFG funded priority program “Topological Insulators: Materials - Fundamental Properties - Devices“ (SPP 1666) played an important role in establishing research related to topological phenomena in Germany. With the end of the SPP 1666 we want to look towards the future and organize the young scientists workshop Topology in modern condensed matter physics and beyond: from fundamentals to quantum applications. Possible topics encompass, but are not limited to, the fundamental and potential applications of new topological phenomena, topological materials, or theoretical and experimental techniques used in the study of topological systems.
This workshop is primarily addressed to the younger generation of scientists with a major goal of stimulating the exchange and establishing possible future collaborations.

The 3-day workshop is planned from Wednesday 06.10. (noon) to Friday 08.10. (noon). Given that the Covid pandemic situation permits it, the workshop is intended to be held in person in or around Munich.
