Forschungszentrum Jülich needs varied experiences and ways of thinking to challenge assumptions and address global challenges. When researchers embrace a broad range of perspectives and thoughtfully integrate diversity aspects into their work, the results are more relevant, impactful, and innovative.

To support our researchers in making a meaningful difference, the division Support for Early-Career Researchers offers two engaging web-based trainings focused on fostering diversity in science. In these courses, fellow researchers from Jülich share their personal experiences, offering real insights and practical inspiration.

E-Learnings

Integrating Diversity in Research Projects

This course is open to all researchers who want to assess and enhance how diversity is integrated into their research design and collaboration practices. It offers a practical guideline on how to question project designs systematically. In addition, it imparts basic knowledge and provides best-practice case studies.

Planning Diverse and Inclusive Research Teams

Tailored for principal investigators, this course provides strategies for planning new research teams and developing inclusive structures for early-career researchers. It clarifies basic concepts of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, sheds light on the current landscape of diversity in academia and provides numerous examples.
