During the holidays, employees with children can take advantage of various holiday care programmes.

Helmholtz summer camp for the children of Jülich employees

The HGF summer camp offers children from various Helmholtz centres in Germany the opportunity to participate in a week of games, sports and fun. The connection to the respective Helmholtz centre organizing the camp ensures that science and research play an important role in the exciting programme.

This event is aimed at children of staff members between the ages of 8 and 14.

Holiday activities at the Kleine Füchse during the easter, summer and autumn holidays

The parents' association Kleine Füchse offers an exciting holiday programme for primary school children.

JuLab School Laboratory’s discovery weeks during the summer holidays in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Bureau

The discovery weeks are five-day programmes for children of Jülich employees only. The children have the chance to conduct experiments and take part in trips, as well as to play and create things with a focus on different topics from the STEM subjects each year:

  • STEM detectives: For children, who will be in first to third grade after the summer holidays (aged between 6 and 8)
  • STEM tour: For children, who will be in fourth to sixth grade after the summer holidays (aged between 9 and 11)
  • STEM makers: For children, who will be in seventh to eighth grade after the summer holidays (aged between 12 and 13)
